3 Delicious Fruit Snacks That Will Make Your Kids Love You
Making healthy choices for your children can be difficult at times, especially when your kids are hungry and you’re not sure what to feed them. Whether you’re at the grocery store or out at the park, here are three delicious fruit snacks that will be sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.
1) Chocolate Covered Strawberries
1. Melt 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave at 10 second intervals or until melted.
2. Dip strawberries into the chocolate to coat them, and place them on a wax paper lined baking sheet to set for about 30 minutes.
3. Serve with a side of vanilla ice cream or whip cream for dipping!
2) Banana Sushi
Cut a banana in half and place one half on top of the other. Slice the banana on top so that it creates a long, flat piece, then slice it into thin slices. Place them side by side with the narrow end at the bottom to create a sushi roll shape. Cut off any excess from the ends of the roll. Use some toothpicks or skewers to hold it together if needed. Drizzle with honey for extra sweetness and cut into small pieces for your little ones!
3) Watermelon Pizza
Cut a watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh. Spread sauce on the rind and top with cheese, pepperoni, olives, onions and any other toppings you like. Bake at 350 degrees F until the cheese is melted. Slice like pizza. This is a fun way to enjoy summer’s fruit while sneaking in some nutrition. If your kids are old enough, they can help make it!
